why does hate run the world?

They're rioting in Africa,
They're starving in Spain.
There's hurricanes in Florida,
And Texas needs rain
The whole world is festering
With unhappy souls.
The French hate the Germans,
The Germans hate the Poles;
Italians hate Yugoslavs,
South Africans hate the Dutch,
And I don't like anybody very much!

But we can be tranquil
And "thankfill" and proud,
For man's been endowed
With a mushroom-shaped cloud.
And we know for certain
That some lovely day
Someone will set the spark off,
And we will all be blown away!
-Kingston Trio, 1950's

It has been suggested and none too hastily that today the world is running on hate.

From our point of view there continues to be a simple solution.

Gravity control. No more wars. Everyone is once again on an equal footing.

Wouldn't this be the most uniting thing?

I never really thought of it quite this way before but with gravity control as a 'weapon' against hate, it has the look of perhaps swinging the people on this planet away from constant stress.

Oil was most wonderful in the '20's? But now we get the feeling that oil will kill us all.

We are at a most amazing transition.

Will we make the leap to gravity control?
Or will we fall back on the amazing German secret of turning coal into oil.

That would keep gravity control out of the picture for an estimated 200 years.

There is a reason for switching to gravity control and it has everything to do with reversing how we're pulling this planet apart. If we want to keep living here we must stop the raping and polluting of our biosphere. At least until we can go places. But even then, it's sacred to keep your domain pristine.

We have to clean the place up before we think about leaving. And we're not leaving but we should clean up the world anyway.

Oil was honourable but now it's Enron and the saving of an era.

The new era is antigravity, goodbye rockets. The new era is an equalization of the people on our planet where those who need get real help. And those who wish can explore.

Wow! Can we begin today?

Jim the eternal optimist. I hope you are right.
I see the global problems being caused by people. More people, more problems.
If we don't get gravity control then
we will evevetually have problems with the production and distribution of food. This will lead to mass starvation. The rich nations will not escape. The more populated the cities,
the worse the results. We will probably lose all the technological advances we have made in the last 200 years, and revert to the dark ages.
If however we do get gravity control, we will continue increasing population untill we literally choke to death on our own pollution.

I think the population problem is the problem which needs addressing first, and there is no chance of that happening. Big business says we need more people, common sense says we need less.

A meaningfull study of the human carrying capacity of the planet would be a good place to start.

No bitching and fighting, just give us some peace.

Gravity Control will lead to more fear, not peace. when one nation commands gravity, they will be feared, the fear will cause others to attack or steal that technology, and soon we will be in another world war.

If you want Peace Jim, find the source of the fear. Greed uses fear as a weapon, the more people are afraid, the more they can be controled. the greedy will continue to manipulate the will of the fearful into doing what they want so that they can turn a profit. Want peace? Find who makes a profit from there not being peace :)
